Our Leadership Team

Neil McEwan
Founder & CEO
Neil McEwan is a seasoned business leader with a proven track record of driving operational transformation to unlock organisational growth. As the Founder and CEO, he brings extensive expertise in optimising business operations and spearheading strategic change. Prior to Aquallite Data, Neil served as the Production Operations Director at Blue Prism, following roles as a Product Manager and Corporate Programme Manager. His earlier career includes Framework and Complex Bid Manager at Grundfos Pumps, Programme Manager at WS Atkins (now AtkinsRéalis), and Hydraulic Pump Design Engineer at ClydeUnion Pumps (now part of SPX).
Neil holds an Executive MBA (with distinction) and Master's degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. He has attained Chartered Engineer certification and Officer of the Watch 4th Engineer certification. Having worked across multiple industries and roles, Neil has developed a diverse skill set that enables him to drive meaningful organisational change. His expertise lies in designing, enabling, and managing large-scale transformations, with a particular focus on operational improvements that deliver tangible business value.

Gareth Houghton
Co-Founder & CTO
Gareth Houghton is an expert cloud solutions architect, specialising in containerisation and big data. As Co-Founder and CTO, he leverages deep technical expertise to develop innovative and scalable solutions. Previously, he served as a Technical Lead at SS&C Blue Prism, a global RPA enterprise software provider, where he contributed to delivering millions of hours of efficiency gains across enterprises in over 100 countries. His earlier career includes experience as a Software Engineer at Thales.
Gareth holds an MSc in Computer Science and multiple industry qualifications, including AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Developer, and Blue Prism Technical Architect certifications. Recognised as a leading authority in cloud technologies, he excels in deconstructing complex challenges into commercially and technically viable solutions. His ability to bridge the gap between technical execution and commercial strategy enables the development of high-impact, value-driven technological solutions.

Dave Moss
Technology Advisor
Dave Moss is a pioneering technology leader with over two decades of experience shaping the enterprise software landscape. As a Co-Founder and former Chief Technology Officer of Blue Prism, he played a pivotal role in establishing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) as a software category. Over his 20-year tenure, he was directly responsible for all product-related functions, including Product Management, R&D, Intellectual Property, Product Marketing, Technology Alliances, and Customer Support. In addition to his executive responsibilities, Dave engaged closely with customers, partners, sales prospects, and analysts while also serving on the Blue Prism board.
Dave began his career at Lynx Financial Systems, where he held roles as a Developer, Designer, and Software Architect. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Leeds University. Under his leadership, Blue Prism successfully launched an AIM IPO in 2016 with a market capitalisation of £48.5m, growing from a 70-person team to a global workforce of over 1,000 across 30 countries. The company was ultimately acquired by SS&C in 2022 for $1.6bn, cementing its legacy as an industry leader.

Neil Wright
Leadership Advisor
Neil Wright is a highly experienced executive with 35 years in the enterprise software industry. As an early-stage leader at Blue Prism, he played a key role in guiding the company through its rapid expansion, building high-performing global teams to execute strategic growth initiatives. Renowned as a thought leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) implementation, Neil has successfully delivered enterprise-wide RPA solutions for major institutions worldwide. His expertise in developing a world-leading Robotic Operating Model has provided a scalable blueprint for successful large-scale automation deployments.
Before joining Blue Prism, Neil spent over 20 years delivering enterprise software solutions across the public sector and leading financial institutions, including Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays Bank, and the Royal Bank of Scotland. His deep industry knowledge and strategic leadership continue to drive transformative success in the field of automation and digital transformation.
